Aston Will Develop Two More favehotels In Bali

Aston International Will Develop Two More favehotels In Bali

Jakarta, 11th January 2010 – Aston International has been awarded contracts to develop and manage two new premium select service hotels in Bali under the Aston group’s trendy 2 star favehotel brand.

The two new favehotels will be in privileged locations in the heart of Legian on Jalan Raya Legian and Bali’s fashionable Seminyak on Jalan Petitenget. Each hotel will offer around 100 stylish, comfortable and functional guest rooms at highly competitive room rates. Guests will benefit from the favehotel’s hallmarks such as superior beddings, high speed internet access, LCD televisions and favehotel’s accolade winning interior design.

Aston Internationals Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Mr. Norbert Vas, said “These two new faves will bring the number of favehotels in Bali to three and compliment the already exiting favehotel Denpasar which is currently in its soft opening stage. The two locations in Legian and Seminyak are a perfect match for favehotel which aims to provide budget hotels that surprise and delight and bring style and great design to the otherwise predictable 2 star hotel segment.”

In addition to the hotels in Bali the Aston Groups is currently developing favehotels in Jakarta, Surabaya and Ambon and is envisioning projects in literally every primary and secondary city in Indonesia, Malaysia and the region beyond.

Aston International Emerges Out Of The Global Financial Crises

Stronger Than Ever And Celebrates 2009 As A Record Year

With Unprecedented Growth

Jakarta, 30 December 2009 - Aston International announced that 2009 was the group’s most successful year ever reporting a revenue increase of 155 %.

Aston International Vice President Sales & Marketing Mr. Norbert Vas commented, “Aston’s substantial revenue growth is unmatched in our industry and due to three (3) main factors. First of all domestic demand continues to grow in double digit numbers and our existing hotels, many of which are new properties that opened during 2008 such as Aston Marina near Ancol and the ever so popular Aston Tropicana in Bandung, have matured and are now running occupancies in the high eighties to mid nineties. Secondly Bali , where Aston already operates 10 properties, experiences stable demand growth out of Australia and newly emerging markets such as China and Russia; and last but not least due to growth in our inventory as Aston almost doubled its hotel portfolio and opened no less than nine (9) new hotels this year.”

2009 was an unprecedented growth year for Aston and saw the openings of 9 new hotels, 4 of which in Bali and 5 more in Samarinda, Tanjung, Balikpapan, Manado and Ambon.

In addition the Aston group also reported several ground breakings for new hotels set to open in late 2010 and early 2011 including Serpong, Yogyakarta, Bangka and Bintan and clinched no less than 14 new management contracts for the Aston and Aston City Hotel brands and 9 more for its premium 3 star Quest Hotel and select service favehotel brands.

While Aston is well known for its existing 4 star Aston Hotels and 3 star Aston City Hostels the group has also recently launched a new affordable lifestyle 3 star hotel brand called Quest and a class leading 2 star concept brand called favehotel. The first Quest is set to open in early 2010 in Semarang and further Quest Hotels are being developed on Bali in Kuta and Legian as well as in Jakarta’s Menteng.

The first favehotel opened in December 2009 in Denpasar, Bali and new faves are being built in Legian, Seminyak, Surabaya, Jakarta and Ambon.

The groups less known property management division also reported substantial group and took on asset management for a new residential complex in Karawaci and Balikpapan’s premier development, the Grand Sudirman Complex, housing the Panin Tower, a high end residential tower and a 4 star Aston Hotel.

“The only damper this year was that our 5 star hotel project in Jakarta was cancelled due to financial restructuring within the owning company. This was supposed to be our first 5 star Grand Aston in Jakarta which we were hoping to develop into our flag ship but such is the nature of the development business and sometimes, regardless of your performance, things are just out of your control. The good news in this is that the Grand Aston brand is now again available for Jakarta. Also we do forecast 2010 to be another record year for us and Indonesia and we will be starting the year right away with a grand celebration opening four (4) new hotels in January. The new hotels are the 245 room Grand Aston City Hall Hotel & Residences in downtown Medan, the 158 room Aston Cengkareng City Hotel & Convention Center right of the toll road and just 15 minutes from the airport, the 206 room Aston Primera Pasteur Hotel and Convention Center in Bandung and the charming 75 room Aston Niu Manokwari Hotel & Conference Center,” says Vas.
